ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in the UK but have travelled extensively to broaden my knowledge and to seek out the adventures our small rock has to offer. This curiosity stretching from cultural exchange to gaining business knowledge, I have gained valuable insight into how extreme sports are facilitated and engaged with by different populations. A qualified rock climbing instructor and with over a decade of British military training and experience means I have a determination and work ethic that gets results.
I have a masters graduate in Sports management which is an extension of my professional progression and under graduate degrees in Sport Studies and Sports Development and Coaching. I have been involved in the operational management, facility development, project management, business consultancy, acquisition management and National Federation development in extreme sports since 2006.
I gained an in-depth knowledge of the academic and practical application of well managed/operated facilities across the spectrum of leisure and the sports industry. My understanding of trends and how to bring them to bear for positive commercial growth are grounded and proven. Whether its for a healthy bottom line or social value metrics I can plan and execute on strategies for all levels of an organisation.

With an excellent knowledge of the macro requirements for small to national scale projects and specialties in personnel development and resource investigation. I am a clear communicator and decisive decision maker. I have a passion for leading projects to create effective working groups. With particular attention to pre-opening of facilities. As an experienced practitioner of Jungian psychometric testing this is all based on sound theory and developed intuition. Extending beyond this I also am a solid practitioner of culture change management and in engaging with new populations to build communities and effect policy positively.
I’ve successfully managed multiple projects in the UK, from strategic and operational planning of new extreme sports centres through to business growth and the onboarding of new climbing facilities. In addition, I have been instrumental in developing national projects alongside the Association of British Climbing Walls (ABC) and the National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme (NICAS), where I serve as a board member (as well as business development and safeguarding leads). NICAS is the fastest-growing organisation in the UK, and I have played a key role in its expansion and influence. Furthermore, I have contributed to the development of National Federations internationally, primarily focusing on commercial and social improvement policies.

I'm an adventurer, strategist and planner at heart so fascinated and drawn to the entrepreneurial spirit. A natural and confident communicator I'm at home in motivating others whilst also keeping track of the bigger picture and therefore acheiving goals with the best utilisation of human resource. Just as familiar with donning overalls as a suit&tie, using a power drill or presenting a powerpoint I can call upon experience at all levels - operational to governance. I will create energy from the ground up and ensure any project is managed effectively.
